Taekwondo’s O’Neil, MacKenzie, Reid to compete in Argentina

Three local taekwondo athletes will represent Canada at next November’s ITF world
taekwondo championships in Argentina.

Sean O’Neil, Laura MacKenzie and Jamie Reid, each members of the MacKenzie
Taekwondo club in Bedford, were selected to the national team based on their
performances at the Canadian championships in Montreal over the weekend.

O’Neil captured gold in patterns and silver in sparring, Reid was tops in specialty board
breaking and MacKenzie took home silvers in sparring and patterns.
